First, to release all tank pressure and excess air from the lighter, hold your lighter upside down and gently press on the inlet valve with a XIKAR Tune Up Tool (not included). Second, hold the refill can upside down so the butane can go to the bottom and the propellant rises to the top, pushing the butane out. Don't shake the refill can. Third, put the nozzle of the refill can in the valve then press and hold to fill the lighter. Wait until 5 minutes before using the lighter to stabilize and to warm up a bit.
